Day 1: Arava Border / Petra Tour / Petra Hotel
08:00 the representative meets you inside the Jordanian terminal of the Arava Border; he holds a sign in your name. 2 hrs transfer to the rock city Petra. The Arab Nabateans carved over 2000 years ago magnificent buildings in the sandstone which you discover today. You reach the Siq, a narrow canyon, on horse back or on foot, then walk 1.2 km through the gorge to the Treasury, the most beautiful monument. Walk to the Street of Facades, the Roman Theatre, the Royal Tombs and Qasr al-Bint. Lunch at the restaurant inside Petra, free time on your own. Overnight in Petra Hotel.

Day 2: Petra Hotel / 2 hrs Wadi Rum jeep ride - Arava Border
After breakfast, 1.5 hrs transfer to Wadi Rum. Explore the area by 4x4 jeep to see rugged mountains, canyons, sand dunes and rock inscriptions from Thamudic and Nabatean period. Return 1 hour to the Arava Border. Our service ends at the Jordanian side.

  • Except for Israeli passport holders, no visa are issued at the Arava Border.
  • The Arava Border opens at 06:30 (on Fri & Sat at 08:00), and closes at 20:00. 
  • Check in time at hotels: 14:00. Check out time at hotels: 12:00 noon.
  • 4x4s in Wadi Rum desert are old vehicles with no A/C. 
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes for Petra.

No visa on arrival at Arava Border. Book & send complete passport details of all guests at least 72 hours prior arrival for us to arrange the visa for non-restricted nationalities. 25% deposit is required to confirm a reservation, remaining balance has to be settled before arrival. For credit cards, remaining balance is auto charge to the same card 7 days prior arrival, for wire transfer payment have to be process 14 days prior arrival. Please read our booking conditions. You will receive a confirmation letter, please read and print.

We (2 couples) decided to booked this trip whilst we were in Eilat, sooo happy we did and wished we had more days to spend to see other places in Jordan. The service is top notched, we were met by Booking Jordan representative and assisted on arrival. Met our driver Moja (not sure if I spelled his name correctly), who went out of his way to make us comfortable all the time, the mini van is clean, brand new, with a cooler loaded with lots of bottled water. During our transfers we had an engaging conversation with our driver about Jordan, its great to learn things about the country from its local people. Upon reaching Petra, our spot guide in Petra lead us to see the legendary site, we were amazed and glad to finally see Petra. Our trip in Wadi Rum had been interesting. We returned to the border with delights in our heart, a hopeful wish to come back soon to Jordan, we will surely and definitely travel with Booking Jordan Tours. Shukran everyone!
