Day 1: Amman Airport / Amman Hotel
Our representative welcomes you with a signage at Amman Airport after you exit the customs area. Transfer about 45 minutes to your Amman Hotel, check in, remainder of the day free.
Day 2: Amman Hotel / 3 Desert Castles / Azraq Oasis / Amman Hotel
Today starts our tour to the Desert Castles in eastern Jordan. The Amra Castle adorns with its zodiac dome and the early examples of Omayyad fresco paintings, and there are still the fortress-like mysterious Qasr Kharanah and the black basalt Roman/Medieval Islamic fort at Azraq. Close by Azraq Oasis is located. This is an unique wetland through the only permanent source of fresh water in approximately 12,000 square kilometres of desert. Visitors can see here several natural and ancient built pools, a seasonally flooded marshland, and a popular place for bird watching. Back to hotel in Amman.

Day 3: Amman Hotel / Jerash / Mt Nebo / Madaba / Dana Hotel
After breakfast, we will drive 50kms northward to Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East comprising paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, handsome theatres, and spacious public squares and plazas. Drive to Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the Promised Land before he died. Overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land. Short ride to Madaba, where to find the famous mosaic 6th century map of Palestine in St. George’s church. Dinner and overnight Dana Hotel.

Day 4: Hike Dana / Wadi Feynan
Dana Nature Reserve is characterized by a chain of valleys and mountains which extend from the top of the Jordan Rift Valley down to the desert lowlands of Wadi Araba. Today, the hike of about 6 hours with your English speaking guide, shows you the beauty and various nature of the area. The tour ends in Wadi Feynan, where 3000 years ago copper had been mined and worked up. Dinner and overnight in the Feynan Eco Lodge in the middle of the desert.

Day 5: Hike Wadi Feynan / Wadi Barwas
We walk across landscape of rock-strewn desert with views of the high mountain ranges to the east and the expansive Wadi Araba Desert stretching out to the west. We pass Byzantine and Nabatean ruins. Private Bivouac camp in Wadi Barwas. The tents will be set up for you. The tent offers space for 2 persons and is equipped with mattresses. No bathroom is available, water for washing will be provided

Day 6: Wadi Barwas / Reis Al Feid
For about three hours we climb into the mountains following a goat herder’s track. This is a steep and challenging section of the route. Cross two passes to reach Reis Al Feid where we camp.

Day 7: Reis Al Feid / Shkaret Umseid
Climb back into the mountains, the trail descends to a riverbed. Continues along the wadi floor and turn towards the Petra region. Camp at Shkaret Umseid.

Day 8: Shkaret Umseid / Little Petra
The trail takes us today to wide-open sandstone hills with views to the Petra mountains. We descend into Little Petra using a little used route. The splendour of Little Petra provides an insight into what lies ahead at the main Petra site. Overnight camp.
Day 9: Petra Visit (Little Petra / Monastery El Deir / Lower Parts) / Petra Hotel
Start to the Monastery El Deir. From the bizarre landscape of Little Petra we cross the Baida region towards the Petra gorges to arrive at the Monastery, high above the main site. Enjoy the views of the Rift Valley of Wadi Araba as we walk. Via 800 stairs down to the lower part of Petra, passing the Royal Tombs, the Treasury and the Siq. Overnight Hotel.
Day 10: Petra Hotel / Wadi Rum hike / jeep / scramble / Camp
Drive 1.5 hours to Rum Village. Hike through the Rakabet Canyon to traverse the massif of Jebel Um Ishrin, which will take about two and a half hours. We continue by jeep to the Burrah Canyon, stopping to see the sand dunes of Um Ishrin, the Nabatean inscriptions, and Lawrence's House. Following that, we will have lunch in the canyon. Cross over to Red El Beidha, which will require some rock scrambling. This portion of the trip will take about two hours. At the end of the canyon we will proceed by jeep to Jebel Burdah to visit the Burdah Rock Bridge. We will camp near Burdah.

Day 11: Wadi Rum scramble / jeep / Camp
In the morning after breakfast, we climb up to the bridge which takes half an hour. We will take a different route back down the mountain to the campsite, where we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon we will travel by jeep to Khazali Canyon to view the Talmudic and Nabatean inscriptions. Overnight at camp.

Day 12: Wadi Rum 2 hours camel ride / Amman Airport
Ride on back of the camel from the camp to Rum Village. Meet the driver, 4 hours transfer to Amman Airport for your departure in the late afternoon.
